📦 PREORDERS & SHIPPING INFORMATION 📦

I want to take a moment to explain how preorders and shipping work at Sassafras Holler so everyone knows what to expect when placing an order.

What Is a Preorder?

A preorder is an item that is available for purchase before it is ready to ship. The estimated ship date is clearly listed in the product description at the time of purchase.

When you place a preorder, you are reserving an item that is currently in the curing process and cannot yet be shipped. This allows customers to secure popular scents before they become available while ensuring each product has the time needed to properly cure and reach its intended quality.

When Will My Order Ship?

  • Preorders ship on or before the estimated ship date listed in the product description.
  • Many times I am able to ship preorder items earlier than expected, but this is never guaranteed.
  • If your order contains both preorder and ready-to-ship items, I will generally split the order when possible. In-stock items will ship first, and preorder items will ship separately once they are ready.

Typical Shipping Times

Once your package leaves my shop:

📬 Standard Shipping: 3–5 Business Days

📬 Some locations, particularly on the West Coast, Alaska, Hawaii, and certain rural areas, may take up to 7 business days depending on carrier routing, weather, and seasonal volume.

Please note that shipping time begins after your order ships, not when the order is placed.

Heat-Sensitive & Seasonal Products

During warmer months, products such as lotions, body butters, and other heat-sensitive items may be upgraded to a faster shipping service when practical. While carrier transit times are outside of my control, I do my best to select the safest shipping method available to help ensure your products arrive in excellent condition.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.

Please monitor tracking updates directly through the carrier. Occasionally carriers experience delays, delivery exceptions, weather disruptions, or failed delivery attempts that are outside the control of any small business.
